Thy Kingdom Come Taizé Service

Thy Kingdom Come: a special service of Taizé prayer

Wednesday 31st May at 6.00 pm

‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is a global prayer movement which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. What started out in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.

On Wednesday 31st May, during a special service of Taizé prayer, we will join with thousands of others in praying for the empowering of the Holy Spirit so that more people may discover a living faith.  In doing this, we will also be praying that God’s kingdom will come on earth.  As the Archbishop of Canterbury has put it, by praying 'Thy Kingdom Come' we commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities.
