PRELUDES & VOLLENTERIES 11 - Thursday 19 April, 6pm
by Peter Sheppard Skaerved (Violin & Viola)

Peter Sheppard Skaerved continues his musical exploration of churches built and rebuilt before and after the Great Fire of 1666.

These intimate salon style concerts offer dialogues between the work of Wren, Gibbons, Hawksmoor, Hooke and the violin-makers and composers whose work was heard in London at the time.

All Hallows is associated with the Bassano family of instrument makers, virtuosi and composers, who first came to London as musicians to Henry VIII. It also houses the spectacular font cover by the greatest artist in wood of the age, Grinling Gibbons, an inspiration for this series.

The programme includes works by Johann Georg Pisendel, Marin Marais, Jacobo Bassano and Heinrich Utrecht.

Tickets £10 (£5 concessions) available on the door, or pre-book from
