LENT 2021

LENT COURSE/LENT BOOK
For our Lent Course this year we will be using “Living His Story: revealing the extraordinary love of God in ordinary ways” by Hannah Steele, the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent Book 2021.

“How can we convey the love of God to our neighbours in a post-Christian world that has largely forgotten the gospel of Jesus Christ? In Living His Story, Hannah Steele uncovers liberating and practical ways of sharing the gospel story afresh.”

Our Zoom Lent Course Groups will meet on Sundays at 12.30pm, led by Martin Carr and Rev’d Katherine Hedderly and, for those who would like to meet during the week an identical group will meet on Tuesdays at 4pm, led by Rev’d Sophia Acland. Each week we will reflect on a chapter of the book. Dates for the sessions are:

Either: Sundays 21 & 28 February, 7, 14 & 21 March, 12.30pm
Or: Tuesdays 23 February, 2, 9, 16 & 23 March, 4pm

In preparation for the course, please obtain a copy of the book (£7.99) which is available from SPCK HERE or Amazon HERE and email vicar@ahbtt.org.uk if you would like to take part.

LENT 'ONLINE' QUIET DAY: FOLLOW ME
Saturday 27 February, 10am-4pm

Taking time to reflect and discover God’s call to us is an important part of our Lenten journey. In this year when our lectionary focuses on the Gospel of Mark, we will be using this gospel through the day to renew our own call to be a disciple and explore the adventure, challenge, and wonder of that call for each of us. With opportunities to meet up on Zoom throughout the day, for worship, prayer, reflection and sharing, the day will also include time for you to walk/exercise, take part in a creative activity at home, listen to music, read, write and allow the world around you to inform your prayerful discovery. Please email vicar@ahbtt.org.uk if you would like to take part in the day.
