Special ecumenical service during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at 6 pm

from All Hallows by the Tower via Zoom

You are warmly invited to a special ecumenical Taizé service during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Brother Roger's vision in founding the community at Taizé was to work for reconciliation between Christians in order that they could in their turn be instruments of reconciliation and peace between all people. At this time of global pandemic, it will be especially good to come together to pray for each other, for the sick and our health services, our churches, local communities and the wider world - and to share our hope in Christ.

This year's theme for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is 'Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit' (based on John 15:1-17). This has been chosen by the Monastic Community of Grandchamp and expresses the community's vocation to prayer, reconciliation and unity in the church and the human family.

All are very welcome to the service on Zoom, which will last for around 40 minutes and which will include Taizé chants recorded by our virtual choir and from the Taizé community in France, readings, prayers and a time of silence. There will be time to chat afterwards.
