On Saturday 16 May over 20 members of All Hallows and friends took part in a continuous reading of the New Testament in support of Christian Aid Week, reading from our homes via Zoom. Starting with the gospel of Matthew at 5am participants read in pairs each hour from a rich variety of translations old and new. We reached the end of Revelation at just after half past midnight.

The reading was streamed on YouTube and among our readers were the New Testament scholar Paula Gooder and Jill Coombes from Christian Aid.

The New Testament is good news for the poor and, at a time when charities are struggling due to the pandemic, we would encourage you to consider making a donation to support them.

All Hallows has a long-standing relationship with Christian Aid, through the London Marathon, Christian Aid Week and the Circle the City event. All these have been seriously affected by the pandemic, so we're raising money to help Christian Aid continue their life-saving work.
