ST MARTIN'S VOICES IN CONCERT at All Hallows by the Tower,
Thursday 21 October, 7-8pm

The night before lockdown in March 2020, members of St Martin’s Voices gathered in a dimly lit St Martin-in-the-Fields for one final time to record the music for a service led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, broadcast to the nation on the BBC. The service opened with the hymn ‘Lord of all hopefulness’. This hour-long concert reflects on themes of love, hope, joy and peace drawn from this much-loved hymn, and includes music drawn from over four centuries of choral masterpieces, including works by Thomas Tallis, Hubert Parry, John Stainer, Amy Beach, Ola Gjeilo and James MacMillan. Tickets £10 or under 16’s £5 - book online HERE.

CHURCHES CONSERVATION TRUST ANNUAL LECTURE,
Tuesday 2 November, 7pm

With increasing repair bills and specialist craft skills and supportive congregations becoming a rare find, the long term sustainability of England's churches is becoming a growing concern. Join Simon Heffer, historian, journalist, author and political commentator, for his lecture 'The Reward of the Inheritance', considering how society could look after our churches in future and ensure they are financially stable enough to prevent falling into disuse. Tickets from: www.visitchurches.org.uk/what-s-on/annual-lecture-2021--the-reward-of-the-inheritance.html

MAYFLOWER PLAY - Sunday 21 November, 2.30pm
'Mayflower: They Knew They Were Pilgrims', written by Kate Glover (Price!) and directed by Kenneth Michaels, will take place as a script in hand performance at All Hallows. It is the story of determined men and women who wished to worship in their own way. They faced huge odds including bullying by the venture capitalists of the day, sickness and death on board, leaking ships, terrifying storms at sea, and personal heartbreak. And what would they find when they got there?  For tickets and more info, visit www.historiatheatre.com

ALL HALLOWS ADVENT SUPPER - Saturday 4 December, from 7pm
Join us for an evening of seasonal food and drink, song and poetry, to celebrate our All Hallows community and friends as we enjoy meeting in-person after so long being apart! If you're able, please bring a favourite poem to read or song to perform (not obligatory). Tickets are free but we will be taking donations to cover costs; any surplus will support the churches' work with Afghan refugees. All welcome but we need to know numbers for catering purposes, so please email parish@ahbtt.org.uk to reserve your place.

GIVING TO ALL HALLOWS
During these challenging times our income has been significantly reduced and we encourage all in our community to continue to give regularly if you are able. If you are coming to church you can make a donation via your contactless debit/credit card by using our 'Tap to Donate' machine. Alternatively, you can give by debit/credit card via our Donations page HERE, or by using our QR code on your phone. You can also make payments directly to our bank (email Angie for details - parish@ahbtt.org.uk) or by sending a cheque, made out to ‘All Hallows by the Tower’, to the parish office.
