WEEKLY NEWS

PARISH EUCHARIST - Sundays at 11.00am
Our Parish Eucharist takes place in church each Sunday and is also available on livestream HERE. All are welcome to join us, whether in person or online, and you can find a copy of the Order of Service HERE. We also meet in church for morning services during the week (click HERE for more details) and on Wednesdays at 6pm for our weekly Taize service (click HERE for more details).

ASCENSION DAY - Thursday 26 May, 4.15pm
Our annual Beating of the Bounds takes place on Ascension Day. All are welcome to follow the procession around the parish and stay for a service of Festal Evensong at 6pm. This year will also be the Triennial Battle with the Tower of London, which will take place after Evensong. Do come and join us for all or part of the day.

JUSTSHARE EVENT: THE CHALLENGE OF GREEN DEVELOPMENT
Tuesday 31 May 2022, 6.30pm (online, Zoom)

There is a recurring theme of overpromising and under delivering on climate change. For decades, leaders have stated their commitment to do what is necessary to stop climate change by investing in technologies and cutting emissions, and to provide the support that low-income countries need both to decarbonise and to adapt to the impacts of climate change. But those promises have not been matched by any action. What does an inclusive transition require and look like and how should developed nations recognise the complexity of this challenge and provide meaningful support to LMICs? Join us for a discussion on this and more - free event, all welcome. Please sign up on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-challenge-of-green-development-tickets-295206268897

ALL HALLOWS SUMMER FESTIVAL, June and July 2022
This summer we will be hosting a summer festival, coinciding with both the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the Tower of London's 'Superbloom' event. The events are listed on the website calendar or at ahbtt.org.uk/summer-festival. Some highlights include the Floating Field installation in the church (see above), a return of our organ recitals for a series called 'Celebration!', and the Green Fair happening on the afternoon of July 23rd. Join us for as much as you are able.

TWO CITIES ECOTIPS
Buy or sell unwanted clothes rather than send them to landfill. Why not look at Vinted (https://www.vinted.co.uk/app)? As well as giving users the opportunity to sell second-hand clothing, Vinted enables people to swap clothes with one another if they wish. Instead of buying brand new clothes, it encourages everyone to purchase and swap items to help the environment.

RAISE FUNDS FOR ALL HALLOWS WHILE SHOPPING ONLINE

Turn your online shopping into donations by using Easyfundraising when you shop. Sign up at www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ahbtt and remember to go to the Easyfundraising website first, each time you shop online. If you use the links on their site to find your favourite shop, rather than going directly to the retailer's website, the church will receive a donation when you place an order, at no extra cost to you.

GIVING TO ALL HALLOWS
During these challenging times our income has been significantly reduced and we encourage all in our community to continue to give regularly if you are able. If you are coming to church you can make a donation via your contactless debit/credit card by using our 'Tap to Donate' machine. Alternatively, you can give by debit/credit card via our Donations page HERE, or by using our QR code on your phone. You can also make payments directly to our bank (email parish@ahbtt.org.uk for details) or by sending a cheque, payable to All Hallows by the Tower, to the parish office.
